Harvard Interprofessional Palliative Care Fellowship Program

The Harvard Interprofessional Palliative Care Fellowship Program is a one-year interprofessional program that trains future leaders in the comprehensive, interdisciplinary care of seriously ill patients and their families. We emphasize:

  • Rich educational experiences, including rotations in nationally renowned clinical sites and an extensive curriculum taught by experts in the field
  • Strong interprofessional collaboration not only in clinical settings but in the fellowship program itself, where physician, advance practice nurse, pharmacy, and social work fellows progress through the fellowship year together
  • Training in a pedagogical approach to teaching palliative care, led by committed clinician educators
  • Commitment to self-care through role modeling, primary mentor assignments, quarterly meetings with the fellowship directors, and a yearly day-long retreat
